Hon’Tihl beamed off his ship just before it exploded, immediately after returning from an exploratory mission into the Gamma Quadrant. Although Hon’Tihl died shortly after beaming to DS9, his log entries were reviewed by station personnel in an attempt to learn what happened to the ill fated vessel. (Dramatis Personae [DS9])
