The 2021 Breeders Cup event is scheduled for 5-6 November, on the beautiful Der Mar racetrack as California will prepare to welcome the fastest horses in the world. Fortunately, after a disappointing empty racecourse in 2020 due to the pandemic, this year Del Mar will open its doors for fans, and tickets are already sold out.

The prize pool for this year’s two-day event is set for $31 million spread on 14 races and each winner can get anywhere from $1 million to $6 million.

Breeders’ Cup Classic
This is probably the most popular race in this two-day event and it is the main goal for most competitors. It will feature the world’s fastest horses that will compete on the dirt surface and it is really tough to determine the winner.
Currently, the odds suggest the Knicks Go is the favorite choice for bettors, but maybe it is because it has a shorter price than both Max Player and Essential Quality.

Breeders’ Cup Distaff
Here we have a selection of outstanding quality female horses that will meet head-to-head on this amazing event. Since the competition is tougher than ever, it is really hard to decide who will be the winner.
Even though Monomoy Girl, Malathaat, and Swiss Skydiver are available on betting markets, it seems like Letruska is people’s favorite. It is a five-year-old that is at its best season with five wins from six appearances.
Her only defeat is on the Azeri Stakes in March where she ended up in second place. She also showed her most dominant display in the Personal Ensign Stakes finishing first far ahead of the competition.
Breeders’ Cup Turf
Just like most years, the Breeders’ Cup Turf is heavily dominated by popular European names. Before the starting odds were placed, Tarawa (the last year’s winner) was people’s favorite and hoped for a back-to-back win at this year’s race.
However, it seems like Mishriff is taking the lead as people’s favorite for this race. The four-year-old had an impressively dominant season on every event. He started with great results on the Dubai Sheema Classic, and the Juddmonte International Stakes.
He has a strong potential for being the winner of this year’s Turf race.
Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Sprint
The girls will also participate in the Filly & Mare Sprint and it seems like we have a clear favorite for this race. Gamine seems to be people’s choice as she showed some incredible performances this year winning nine out of ten races. She has become a superstar in the US horse racing world.
His only defeat is on Kentucky Oaks but quickly bounced back on Filly & Mare Sprint at Keeneland Breeders’ Cup last year.
It seems like Gamine will be head and shoulders above the rest in this competition.
